Macmillan Benefits Service Inverclyde

Our Macmillan/HSCP Welfare Benefits Service is here to support you with concerns about the financial implications of having a cancer diagnosis.

We offer support and advice to people and their families affected by a cancer diagnosis to ensure their income is maximized.

Self-referral and referrals from healthcare professionals and other professionals as well as from others (with authority of the person being referred).

We offer support with benefit Appeals if required for DWP benefits and SSS benefits .

We support bereaved families to ensure any relevant grants/benefits are claimed.

We can arrange services to help address Money and Debt concerns.

We provide information relating to travel costs/schemes and can signpost you to help with the blue badge scheme.

We can help and arrange a number of services including aids and adaptations, home help service etc.

We assist with applications for relevant claims to a range of benefits as well as applications for Grants when possible. This includes Social Security (reserved to Westminster) Benefits and Benefits administered by the Scottish Government.

Our Service : Macmillan Cancer Support in Partnership with HSCP/Inverclyde Council.

We offer face to face meetings for patients attending IRH Ward F South Oncology /Haematology.

We provide a Benefits Advice Service at Ardgowan Hospice for day patients and in patients as well as patients of the Ardgowan Hospice Community Nurse Specialists.

We offer a home visit service when needed.

Our Inverclyde Macmillan Benefits Service/HSCP can be accessed for people and families in Inverclyde.
